The container with your guests has arrived

Aug 12 2012 ·  Comments · Architecture

Re using materials or even better transforming by altering the use of material is a growing trend in todays architecture. Poteet Architects is of those firms that have given the world community examples of how objects that most of us have connected with nothing but design, can be adapted and transformed into sustainable solutions that combine modern design and low cost.

In this case, the object to be transformed is a shipping container. The firm’s client wished for a low cost guest house. The outcome is a container with toiler, sink and a green roof. The interior was insulated with foam and covered with bamboo plywood.
