The Village of Monsanto in Portugal

Located on the side of a lush green mountain in Portugal this small time is built into massive boulders that provides some of the most intriguing architecture we have ever seen. The small town was named “the most Portuguese village in Portugal” back in 1938 during a nation contest, and since then the area has had building restrictions placed upon it that make sure Monsanto remains a living museum.
